Our Story
We’re a married couple who fell in love with Colorado’s mountains — and decided to share that love with others. What started as a personal retreat became something more: a desire to create extraordinary stays for groups who care about design, comfort, and the details that make a trip genuinely memorable.
Alpina Retreats is our answer to the question we kept asking ourselves — why do most vacation rentals feel like an afterthought? We believed the experience could be better: more thoughtful, more personal, more beautiful. So we built the homes we wanted to stay in, furnished them with care, and committed to managing every stay ourselves.
Today, Alpina Retreats operates two luxury properties in Colorado’s mountain towns: Casa de Cristal, a glass-walled retreat overlooking Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park, and Cedars 42, a ski-in/ski-out townhome on Peak 9 in Breckenridge. Together, they serve completely different destinations and experiences — but share the same commitment to design, responsiveness, and guest happiness.
The HiEnd Accents Connection
Every bed at Alpina Retreats is dressed in linens from HiEnd Accents — our own family’s luxury home goods brand. For over two decades, HiEnd Accents has designed designer bedding, textiles, and home decor for discerning customers across the country.
When we designed our rental properties, it was natural to furnish them with the same products we create for our customers — 350-thread-count cotton sheets, hand-embroidered duvets, velvet quilts, artisan throw pillows, and more. Guests experience the quality firsthand, and many go home wanting the same for their own beds.

We manage every stay personally. When you message us, you’re talking to Elizabeth, Jonathan, or our trusted property managers — never a call center. We typically respond within hours, and we’re available for anything you need during your stay.
No hidden fees, no inflated cleaning charges, no bait-and-switch. Our direct booking rates are genuinely lower than third-party platforms — because we’re not paying 15% to a middleman. What you see is what you pay.
