Our Story
Both houses started the same way: we wanted somewhere of our own in the Colorado high alpine.
Casa de Cristal sits at 8,500 feet on Ram’s Horn Mountain in Estes Park. We’d been coming to Estes for years and eventually wanted somewhere to stay that was ours — and we wanted something the town didn’t yet have. A modern mountain retreat that paid homage to the landscape rather than mimicked it. We worked with a local design agency to reimagine a 1970s cabin into three stories of floor-to-ceiling glass, with the Continental Divide filling every window.
Cedars 42 is the other story. Jonathan started skiing Breckenridge as a kid and never stopped coming back. When a unit came up that was both ski-in/ski-out and walkable to Main Street — a combination that almost never exists in Breck — we bought it. Sleeps ten. A hop and a skip from the Quicksilver lift, about five minutes from town.
A Note on the Linens
Our family runs HiEnd Accents, a luxury textile house. The duvet covers, throws, pillows, and quilts in both homes are from our collections — we rotate seasonal pieces in throughout the year.
That isn’t a sales pitch. It’s a promise: in either of these towns, this is the best bed you’re going to sleep in. We pride ourselves on the linens, and after a long day on the mountain, the right sheets matter.
On Booking Direct
Our nightly rate matches what you’d see on Airbnb and VRBO. When you book with us directly, the platform fee — up to 15% — comes back to you instead of going to them. That’s the whole pitch. We’ll match any rate you find elsewhere.
